WID Training Checklist for Host Agencies/Organizations

___      Point of Contact for Class Coordination

  • Hotel recommendations in close proximity of Training Room
  • Restaurant /Lunch arrangements
  • Arrange “Local Perspective” speakers to present at the beginning of training summary of any prevention/outreach programs, Local Impacts to AIS, etc.), 15-30 minutes
  • Provide Roster of Attendees – Name, title, agency and contact information

 ___     Training Room

  • Available afternoon before training for set up
  • Available from 8 am to 4 pm
    • Arranged theater/classroom style w/tables 
    • Small registration Table near entrance
    • Lap top computer and Projector/Screen set-up
    • Screen Viewing surface large enough to be seen from all seats
    • One large table for display provided at the back of the room
      • Supply of local outreach/educational material

 ___     Field Exercises (Inspections)

  • One trailered watercraft available adjacent/close proximity to training room for every 5 people attending (Preferably different types of vessels) PWC, Bass Boat, Wakeboard, I/O
  • ENSURE YOU HAVE RECEIVED PERMISSION AND HAVE SUFFICIENT SPACE TO CONDUCT WATERCRAFT EXERCISES.

 ___     Field Exercises (Decontaminations)

  • One trailered watercraft available adjacent/close proximity to training room for every 5 people attending (Preferably different types of vessels) PWC, Bass Boat, Wakeboard, I/O
  • ENSURE YOU HAVE RECEIVED PERMISSION AND HAVE SUFFICIENT SPACE TO CONDUCT WATERCRAFT EXERCISES.

___      Decontamination Units

  • Tooled up and operational, one unit per trailered watercraft available (if possible)
