Level I Watercraft Inspection Training 



The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission is sponsoring a Watercraft Inspection Training, hosted by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department with the US Army Corps of Engineers.


US Army Corps of Engineers Offices – Lake Belton

May 26, 2017 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm


The training will include:

  • Introduction & overview of what other western states are doing to fight invasives
  • Biology of zebra and quagga mussels and other Aquatic Invasive Species
  • Zebra mussel status, monitoring, prevention, and regulations in Texas
  • Overview of decontamination, including when decontamination should occur
  • Watercraft risk assessment and inspection procedure (with practice)
