Level I Watercraft Inspection Training 

ANNOUNCEMENT

 

The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission is sponsoring a Watercraft Inspection Training, hosted by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department with San Jacinto River Authority.

 

San Jacinto River Authority Offices – Lake Conroe

May 24, 2017 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

The training will include:

  • Introduction & overview of what other western states are doing to fight invasives
  • Biology of zebra and quagga mussels and other Aquatic Invasive Species
  • Zebra mussel status, monitoring, prevention, and regulations in Texas
  • Overview of decontamination, including when decontamination should occur
  • Watercraft risk assessment and inspection procedure (with practice)

COST: Training is provided “free of charge” to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.  Attendees are responsible for their own travel expenses. Lunch will be delivered; you will need to pay $20 to cover morning refreshments and lunch at check in/arrival.
